Spin rate measures how fast the baseball spins after leaving the pitcher's hand, measured in RPM (revolutions per minute). Higher spin rates generally create more movement.
MLB Averages by Pitch:
• Fastball: 2,200-2,400 RPM
• Curveball: 2,500-2,800 RPM
• Slider: 2,300-2,600 RPM
